Composer Spotlights feature a Presenting Artist outlining compositional concepts contained within their own work by examining score & audio excerpts.

Listening Sessions feature a Presenting Artist sharing clips of music they love that has interesting compositional elements. Alongside a host, the Presenting Artist explores audio excerpts and topics of interest contained within.

Foundational Focuses feature a Presenting Artist exploring fundamental aspects of jazz composition and arranging using examples from the jazz canon as well as their own writing.

Roundtables feature our Core Team Composers (Daniel Jamieson, Miho Hazama, Andrew Rathbun, Chelsea McBride, Erica Seguine) and special guests, in a group conversation about composition and other musical topics of interest.

Group Lessons offer members a chance to receive detailed constructive feedback on their own work from one of our Presenting Artists.

Each week we upload a free Mini-Lesson to our YouTube channel featuring one of our Presenting Artists.

Interactive Q&As conclude all of our live events, affording viewers the opportunity to get questions answered in real-time by the Presenting Artist. Members who are unable to watch an event live may submit questions in advance via the Livestreams page.

Our Archived Events Library contains so many wonderful events, and we’re picking some favorites to restream for everyone to enjoy. Rewatch Parties are available to all JazzComposerPresent members, as well as Single Event ticket holders.

Special Events are unique experiences beyond our standard offerings. They are not included with our membership subscription plans or standard Single Event tickets. Each Special Event is ticketed separately through its own dedicated ticketing page.
