About the Presenting Artists(s)
Callum Au is a London-based composer and arranger working across jazz, orchestral and commercial music. His original music has been performed by the BBC Concert Orchestra, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, SWR Big Band, Brussels Jazz Orchestra, and Metropole Orkest. His recent arranging credits include Michael Bublé, Josh Groban, RAYE, Dua Lipa, Jamie Cullum and Labi Siffre. In 2026 he was awarded the George Duke Prize by Oakland’s Symphonic Jazz Orchestra.
He has released three albums under his own name, including Songs & Stories (featuring Claire Martin) and his new double album Sing Seven Seas: a large-scale big band project recorded over seven days with more than 80 musicians.
Alongside his writing work, Callum is a studio trombonist working at the highest level in London, which inevitably feeds back into how he writes: practical and player-led. He is also the musical director of the Kings Place Jazz Orchestra, London's premier large jazz ensemble.
