About the Presenting Artists(s)
Award-winning singer & composer Mirna Bogdanović studied classical piano and jazz vocals at various music colleges around Europe and finished her degree at the Jazz Institut Berlin (2017). At the time of her studies she won the Downbeat Student Award and was part of the German National Youth Big Band. Bogdanović has released two albums since 2020, both of which have won the Deutscher Jazzpreis. 'Confrontation' was crowned Debut Album of The Year 2021 and ‘Awake’ Album of The Year 2024. Both albums were also on the long list of the German Record Critics’ Award and have received critical acclaim. Mirna is also active as a side-woman and guest musician, having collaborated with the Swiss Jazz Orchestra, Radio TV Big Band Slovenia, Cotatcha Orchestra, CRR Orchestra Istanbul, Wanja Slavin’s Lotus Eaters, Ken Thompson, Kalle Kalima, and more. Mirna’s third studio album is currently in the making, produced by acclaimed multi-instrumentalist and producer Wanja Slavin.
