About the Presenting Artists(s)
Daniel Jamieson has built an international reputation as a conductor and composer leading concerts, radio and TV broadcasts, and recording sessions across North America and Europe. He is the conductor of the Strathmore Jazz Orchestra and leader of his own internationally acclaimed Danjam Orchestra. He has worked with the Metropole Orchestra, Danish Radio Big Band, WDR Big Band, and Swiss Jazz Orchestra and his arrangements have been performed by Joe Lovano, Marcus Miller, Joshua Redman, Kurt Elling, and Cécile McLorin Salvant, among others. Jamieson founded JazzComposersPresent.com, a groundbreaking platform that has become the world’s foremost online resource for jazz composition education and professional development. He has presented master classes at Berklee College of Music, Manhattan School of Music, Eastman School of Music, University of North Texas, and Frost School of Music. Since 2016, he has served as staff arranger and music producer for the U.S. Army Field Band.
