About the Presenting Artists(s)

Ayn Inserto is a composer, conductor, Bob Brookmeyer protégé, and Assistant Chair of Harmony and Jazz Composition at Berklee College of Music. Her debut album with the Ayn Inserto Jazz Orchestra, 2006’s Clairvoyance, featured Bob Brookmeyer and George Garzone. 2018’s Down A Rabbit Hole, Inserto’s fourth album, featured Garzone, Sean Jones, and John Fedchock. Her music has been performed at Carnegie Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center Shanghai, Dizzy's Club (Jazz at Lincoln Center, NYC), the Berklee Performance Center, Billy Higgins Jazz Festival, New England Conservatory of Music, Montreux Jazz Festival, the Umbria Jazz Festival, and Terni Jazz Festival among others. Inserto is a mentor for the Women in Jazz Organization, and a member of the Board of Directors for the Jazz Education Network.
