Composer Andy Farber explores his piece Feet and Frames, outlining how he borrowed and developed material from his favorite film and TV music: Star Trek, Pink Panther, and Peter Gunn.

About the Presenting Artists(s)

Andy Farber, award-winning composer, arranger, conductor, and saxophonist. Farber teaches Jazz Composition and Arranging at The Juilliard School and Purchase College, and is Director of the BMI Jazz Composers Workshop. He has collaborated extensively with jazz legends such as Jon Hendricks and Wynton Marsalis among others. Farber has written for artists including Shirley Horn, Joe Lovano, Joe Temperley, Regina Carter, Lee Konitz, Stevie Wonder, Bob Dylan, and Ray Charles. The Andy Farber Orchestra recently backed Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga for their PBS special Cheek to Cheek Live.
